Subject And Predicate

Every Sentence has two main parts: Subject and Predicate.
  • He has a good memory.
Subject and Predicate


Subject is the person or thing who (which) does the action or to whom (which) action is done.
  • He - Subject


Predicate is the part of the sentence indicating the action done.
  • He has a good memory - Predicate.
For a person to live, the head and heart are important. Similarly for a sentence to have a complete meaning the Subject and Predicate are important.
